Frequently asked questions

Why did Farwalk change its name?

Farwalk is now called Stridelands. It is the same app from the same developer, and your journeys, workouts and purchases carry over with nothing to do. Another app on the App Store uses the Farwalk name, so we chose one of our own.

What do I need?

An iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Stridelands is iPhone only.

Why isn't my progress updating?

Stridelands reads workouts and distances from Apple Health. Check that Health access is on: open the Health app, tap your profile, then Apps → Stridelands. Opening Stridelands also checks for new workouts. If Background App Refresh is off for Stridelands in iOS Settings, workouts update when you open the app.

Does Stridelands know where I am?

No. Stridelands never asks for your location. It only uses the distances in your workouts.

How do I restore my purchase?

In Stridelands, open Settings and tap Restore purchases, using the same Apple Account you bought Plus with.

How do I cancel or change my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: open iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. If Plus is active, Stridelands's Settings also shows Manage subscriptions.

How do I sync journeys between devices?

iCloud sync is part of Stridelands Plus. In Stridelands's Settings, turn on Sync plans and custom stops on each device signed in to the same Apple Account. Journey plans and custom stops sync; workouts, progress, visited places and photos stay on each device.

How do I delete a journey?

Open the journey, tap the ⋯ button at the top right, then Delete Journey. This removes its route, places, custom stops, photos and moments. If the journey was synced, its iCloud copy is removed too. Your workouts stay in Stridelands and Apple Health. This can't be undone.

How do I delete my iCloud data?

In Stridelands's Settings, under iCloud journey plans, tap Delete iCloud journey data. Turn sync off on your other devices first. You can also remove Stridelands's data from iOS Settings: tap your name, then iCloud, then open iCloud storage management and select Stridelands.
